Trip in safari guide training, Okavango Delta (rifle for "last resort" protection, not hunting)
Meet Trip Mackintosh
Trip Mackintosh has loved the peoples of Africa since his service as a Peace Corps Volunteer (1979-81 Morocco). He became an internationally recognized lawyer who specialized in anti-terrorist controls, US laws on arms trafficking, corruption, money laundering and sanctions. His work frequently involved matters in Africa, to include the Sahel.
He has traveled throughout the continent and has spent substantial time in remote areas on foot and horseback. His experiences include training as a safari guide and one-on-one tutoring on bush skills by a Bushman elder in the Kalahari Desert.
He draws from this unique background to provide readers a rich, detailed portrait of lives they might otherwise not get to know, taking them to places they might never visit and offering a chilling examination of Bolo Haram, its terror and consequences for all of us.
His up-coming novel tells the story of Kalahari Bushmen, their remarkable culture and the tragedy of their recent history.
